St. Luke’s is a Catholic parish within the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter. Originally an Anglo-Catholic parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, we were received and confirmed into the Catholic Church on October 9, 2011 by the Archbishop of Washington, Donald Cardinal Wuerl. We fully uphold the teachings of the Church.
Our liturgy is celebrated according to the Divine Worship Missal [promulgated in 2015], which beautifully integrates traditional Book of Common Prayer language and prayers, (Elizabethan English and Anglican prayers), into the liturgy. As such, we are in full communion with the Holy See and fulfill the regular Sunday obligation.

St. Luke’s new home is at historic St. Ignatius Church, located at 2315 Brinkley Road in Fort Washington/Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Weekend Masses are celebrated on Satuday at 4:30 pm and Sunday at 11 am; weekday Masses are Monday through Friday at 9 am and Saturday at 10 am, all according to the Divine Worship Missal, the Ordinariate’s official liturgy. Masses celebrated according to the Roman Missal are Sunday at 8 am and 9:30 am.
