Altar Servers — A group of men and boys who serve at Sunday and other special Masses, and in doing so, assists priests and the parish. Altar boys are in the 4th through 12th grades, and must have received First Communion. The duties are straightforward so no experience is necessary and everyone is trained. Please contact Mr. David Lewis at (703) 966-6737 or [email protected] for more information.
Adult volunteers are needed to maintain altar linens, polish silver, manage altar flowers and other vital functions to enable a beautiful Mass.
Volunteers will take the used linens home to launder on Sunday after Mass and return them the following Sunday.
For special feasts, altar guild members will work to polish the silver and brass.
Flowers are often donated for the altar. These are placed and maintained by the altar guild.
The Altar Guild is a necessary ministry. Please contact Karen Hoppe at [email protected] for more information on this vital ministry.
